'A Falcon named Arrow', describing the stunning descent of a bird of prey in pursuit of it's meal, is one example, and this poem was a selected finalist in the Wordclay anthology, 'Best modern voices'. Other topics covered include romance, spirituality and music. Elsewhere, 'Lakelands' celebrates the wonderful scenery of Cumbria, and 'Leaves of Autumn', dealing with the cost of war, moved not one, but two on-line reviewers to tears, with it's analogy of soldiers being gathered up like leaves, symbolic of the season.
