Lucky and Lucy

Description:DESCRIPTIONThis isn’t just another love story. Generically, perhaps, but otherwise not. It is indeed a story about love, falling in love, being in love, experiencing love in all of its manifold, unpredictable aspects with its roller coaster emotions, its exhilarating highs, its heartbreaking lows and its gut-wrenching uncertainties. But the difference and the reason why I believe the reader will kvell over this tale and find it all but un-put-down-able is because this is a story about mature love, venerated love– old love, if you will, to put it plainly....In short, how hope springs eternal, and how we all are truly as young as we think we are.SYNOPSISTwo former high school sweethearts from the DFW area meet again in a retirement home, called Loveland, in West Central Texas, after having lost track of one another for decades. Both have debilitating, if not life-ending illnesses, and feel alone and afraid and are generally miserable. There's a "social" (a sock-hop) coming up, a dance, which they both attend, but not before each of them is visited unbeknownst by an enigmatic stranger, called Altru, who is accompanied by an equally peculiar companion, Salvador, who remains in the car the car they drove up in that looks exactly like Lucky's '67 Impala, right down to the bent antenna and its dings and dents. Later that evening something incredible happens when they touch hands to dance– they become thirty-something again, but no one but themselves seems to notice it. Enthralled with their miraculous transformations and being head over heels in love again, they spend the next few weeks wrapped up in themselves, until something else unbelievable happens, and they feel they have to run away or be exposed, because they have no way of explaining what has happened to them. What follows is a cat and mouse game, as they “tour” the United States on the lam in Lucy’s Lincoln Continental, while the home administrator and the FBI are in hot pursuit. Eventually the FBI catches up with them in New York City, and they are returned to Loveland, but not before another surprise visit they have with Altru and “Jimmy Jesus,” and they are returned to Loveland, where a heart rendering, heartwarming culmination to the book occurs that will leave you breathless, teary-eyed and feeling glad to be alive again, no matter what your circumstances. We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
