Finding his most persuasive medium to be the visual image, he organized his 1200-page Nueva cornica y buen gobierno around his nearly 400 drawings, all skillfully executed by his own hand. A facsimile of the autograph manuscript at The Royal Library in Copenhagen, Gks 2232 40, was published in 2001 on the Guaman Poma website of The Royal Library, www.kb.dk/elib/mss/poma/.
