While Nixon has already confessed to being solely responsible for the event in his 1990 edition of his autobiography RN, the motive stated was at most nebulous, “for foreign policy considerations”. The author provides a theoretical motive substantiated by as much proof as is currently available. The book is built in five parts: Part 1 looks at the crimes of the time and some foreign crimes that were similar covering the Vietnam War, Kent, Jackson State, Orangeburg and Tiananmen Sqaure as well as the Press Manipulation and intimidation rampant during the Nixon era. Part 2 Studies the Research efforts and the FOIA methodology as well as what evidence was found. Part 3 examines the mind of Richard Nixon using books by psychiatrists and comments by contemporaries. Part 4 develops the detailed motive and how Nixon ordered the Kent State Massacre using possibly two chains of command as a failsafe measure. Nixon needed this event to happen to help end the Vietnam War and earn his headstone inscription; “The greatest honor history can bestow is the title of peacemaker.” In Part 5 the author lays out possible actions to prevent another marginally sane individual rising to become leader of the free world. There are still hopes that the original screenplay of the same name will be produced in time for the 50th anniversary of the massacre, May 4, 2020.
