Fresh from Bali, marching tall full of powerful confidence, Monkey was soon drowning, powerless, in a sea of despair. From the heady heights of intoxication and limitless promise, to psychological murder; Monkey was destroyed in Singapore by the cruelties of love in a material (and deeply neurotic) world. In its evil aftermath, after contemplating suicide, he decides to get even in a way that benefits his fellow creatures.Luigi and Leo, his friends, brothers and comrades, are successful former athletes, MMA world flyweight champions and owners of gyms stretching from the Indonesian archipelago to the north of Nepal; they, however, are keen to make history outside the sporting realm. Liam Blackbeard and Sean, two long-time pals from Leeds, knew Monkey of old, and had sneaked into many a nightclub via fire-door, rooftop balcony or courtyard together, and loitered of old on many an off-license doorstep through their miscreant adolescence. After reuniting in Thailand at the best parties in the world, the Leodensians decide that to bottle up the community feeling of the Love Tribe and share it where most needed—however briefly—is a great and noble enterprise, and well worth risking their own skin for.Lastly, Aleksandr, a mad Russian chemist from the Urals, with private laboratories scattered around Southeast Asia and beyond. With a past shrouded in mystery, madness follows Aleks in myriad forms. As their determination grows, The Freaks decide to roll the dice, only for Crazy Aleks to magnify the dimensions astoundingly with an outrageous plan to spike the municipal water supplies.
